COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
Below we have detailed the steps, updates, and new policies that the gym will have during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to add items to this list as needed.
Holds
We will be offering extended holds for anyone who is not ready to come back to the gym. Extended holds will be set until December 1st, 2020. If you would like to come back before then, please email us. Unless you cancel your membership before December 1st, it will automatically reactivate on that day.
Lockers, Showers, Sauna, and Bathrooms
Due to the NYS guidelines, the facilities upstairs, including the lockers, showers, sauna, and bathrooms, will remain closed. We are working on a strategy to get the upstairs open ASAP. In the meantime, we encourage you to come to the gym in your workout clothes to minimize crowding in our waiting area. The bathroom downstairs is fully operational and can be used for changing if needed. If you currently have a rental locker, you will be permitted to remove your items during staffed hours, and we will remove your locker rental from your membership.
Masks
Per NYS mandate, masks that cover your nose and mouth must be worn 100% of the time when working out at Ignite Fitness. Please be aware that this will be strictly enforced. Members will be given one warning if they are not adhering to this mandate. A second warning will result in membership suspension or cancellation. We understand this is a divisive issue, but this rule must be respected for us to remain open.

- All equipment has been spaced out a minimum of six feet or more.
- Per NYS mandate masks will be required at all times.
- Temperature checks during staffed hours.
- Per NYS mandatory digital health screenings will be required before entering the facilities.
- At a minimum all equipment and content points will be cleaned five times a day.
- Per NYS mandate capacity will be capped at 33%.
- Disposable wipe and hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the gym. Members will also be given the option to use a personal spray bottle and towel.
- After closing, a deep cleaning will be performed including fogging the entire facility with a Selectrocide® disinfectant. Selectrocide® is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a pesticide and falls within the lowest toxicity categories. It is also Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) listed for use in certified organic production or food processing and handling.
- While not required by NYS mandate, six air purifiers with HEPA filters have been installed in every space.
- MERV 13 filters installed in the HVAC system.
- All faucets have been replaced with touchless.
- Paper towel dispensers are touchless.
- Eliminated as many contact points as possible throughout the gym.
- All windows will be kept open (weather permitting) to encourage air exchange.
- Installed shields at the reception and waiting area.
- Touchless check-in via mobile or desktop.
- No cash accepted or necessary.
